Psychology - College of Liberal Arts - Texas A&M University Corpus Christi

Welcome to Texas A&M University--Corpus Christi's Department of Theatre and Dance.  Our students and faculty have been nationally recognized by the John F. Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.  The mission of our program is to provide students with the tools needed for preparation as theatre educators or professional practitioner, or for continuation of their studies on the graduate level.

As part of the School of Arts, Media & Communication, we offer a Bachelor of Theatre Arts Degree with an acting/director focus area and a design/tech focus area.  Theatre majors may also pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre leading to teacher certification.  As of Fall 2017, we offer a Dance Minor.  We also offer a dance certificate that is available to all majors in all disciplines and professionals or educators seeking a certificate to develop their skill and knowledge in the area of dance.

We offer an intense academic and production season providing students with meaningful experiences that promotes theatre as a medium of expression and collaboration.  We invite you to join us at the Island University where we take pride in our outstanding students and faculty.

We have an exciting season of streamed theatre and live dance events planned for 2020-2021!   We have two productions available to stream for free this spring:  SMALL MOUTH SOUNDS, a student produced production, and A LOVE SONG FOR CORPUS CHRISTI, a musical serenade to Corpus Christi.  The Dance Department will feature two masked nights of the Island Dance Demo LIVE in the PAC on April 28 & 29.

Out of an abundance of caution, we regret to announce that CAMP ON THE COAST has been postponed until summer 2022.
