Robert Muilenburg

Robert Muilenburg

Robert was born and raised in South Dakota, joined the Army when he was 18 where he served as a photographer. He received his AA in journalism from Del Mar College and went on to get his BS in photography at Texas A&M Commerce. Robert interned and freelanced at several papers in South and North Texas while attending school, including the Dallas Morning News and the Corpus Christi Caller-Times.

Robert worked as the coordinator of Photographic Services at the University of Tennessee at Martin after graduating. Robert continued to freelance for several regional and national publications. While working at Tennessee he completed his Masters in journalism at Murray State University. He moved back to South Texas and began teaching at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas, and Texas A&M-Kingsville, where he also served as advisor for the student newspaper. He is currently Assistant Professor of Journalism at Del Mar College as well as the advisor for student publications.
