Careers

Students that graduate with a degree in studio art have the tools to become a working artist.

Many of our graduates in the areas of photography and graphic design go on to work for professional studios practicing in those specific areas.

We have 100% pass rate for our BFA-TC students who have taken the Texas Certification Tests in the past SIX years! These students are able to teach at the K-12 level with this degree.

There are many internships available for students while enrolled at TAMUCC. The Art Museum of South Texas, department student worker positions and local internships are just a few of the most popular.

For more specific careers in art, contact your area of study faculty member!
